In this course we will discuss mixed integer and discrete optimisation. Such problems have become prominent in the industry and can be employed to model and solve a wide variety of problems stemming from practice. This course will provide insights into some of the foundational tools underlying the succesful commercial solvers.
The course will also investigate, through a project, how indeed discrete optimization is used in the electrical industry.
