
The goal is to provide students with basic knowledge in IR, i.e. an overview of the concepts, key terms, a few case studies—, in the hope you will acquire:
- a better understanding of today’s world
- a broader perspective of today’s issues (we will rely mostly on recent case studies)
- a background to prepare you for your future classes (HP, SP, International cooperation, Emerging countries, etc.)
- Incidentally, a second goal is for you to improve your communication skills.
Spring semester: dedicated to globalization and global issues

Continuous assessment, 50%:
- Quiz 1; worth 20% --see in class
- Quiz 2; worth 20% --see in class
- Presentations; worth 10% --see in class
