This Executive Diploma is offered by Université Paris-Saclay, in partnership with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).
Its objective is to train experts capable of conducting economic assessments of international policies, anticipating geopolitical risks, and negotiating within major international organizations. The programme aims to strengthen the skills of professionals navigating complex diplomatic and international environments, with a strong focus on sustainable development, governance, scientific and technological diplomacy, as well as geopolitical and climate- related challenges.
It combines the academic excellence of Université Paris-Saclay with the practical expertise of UNITAR practitioners, offering a hybrid learning approach that blends theory, case studies, and simulations.
The diploma seeks to provide participants with comprehensive training on the economic, environmental, energy, and geopolitical dimensions of sustainable development, while developing practical skills in diplomacy, negotiation, strategic communication, and official document drafting. It aims to strengthen participants’ ability to analyze, synthesize, and present complex information, integrate scientific and technological dimensions into policy decisions, apply adaptive strategies in uncertain contexts, and become familiar with the functioning of the United Nations system. Overall, the programme prepares participants to contribute effectively to international governance and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
